I began my lifelong love of photography when my parents gave me my first instant camera (110 film) in the 6th grade and I started putting together albums of snapshots of my family and friends, my travels, and school memories. Then armed with my first 35mm Olympus, I became photographer of my high school (and later college) yearbooks, developing my own black and white film and prints. For most of the last 20+ years I have taken photos of my favorite subjects - my three sons. Now that my nest is nearly empty, I am exploring new subjects with my Sony mirrorless and a renewed enthusiasm for my craft--learning and growing with each outing I take with my camera. I mainly create landscape images and capture what I consider interesting architecture. I strive for fresh perspectives and to look for beauty even when it isn't obvious. I love being in the great outdoors--with or without a camera--hiking and kayaking. I thrive on new experiences and endeavor to learn something new every day.
